Weather - dry with light wind

Base line readings -12.35  (taken 1/2 an hour after the building was emptied.)

Chris and Karl set up questions for the first dowsing session, Mark and Paul started base line tests.

Eleanor was picking up on a spirit in the ladies toilet (not known as yet whether it is male or female) and the atmosphere in the back of the pub went from light to heavy.

Ion & EMF are all as expected temperature 18.5-19 degrees in the back room & 20 degrees in the front room, as the rooms emptied there was a slow descending oppression felt by the team. While taking pictures both Sue & Karl heard a whisper saying "There’s someone down there"

Dowsing Session 1 - Started 1.25 and finished 1.34

Dowsers’ were: - Paul and Sue with Mark and Eleanor taking answers, Chris on hand held camera and Karl reading the questions.

The results for the dowsing show there were clearly 2 or more spirits communicating, one of them was not impressed with us as every time Sue got a " no answer " Eleanor clearly heard a male voice saying " f### you ". Paul did seem to be communicating with at least 2 spirits as he quite clearly got a yes and a no in answer to question 8.

02: 10 a loud tap was heard from the other room while dowsing an earlier loud bang was heard which sounded like something falling from a shelf.

First séance 3.00 am start and finished 4.02

Held in the front part of the bar where there seems to be some activity. Trigger objects in the form of playing cards & a pin art board were set up & photographed. Ion readings went down to -5 in this room prior to the séance Mark got plus ion readings of 1.27 and simultaneously Paul got an EMF reading of 1.

The whole team participated in the séance with members swapping in and out to record temperature and EMF changes.

Base line EMF readings 0 all round the table, temperature 18.5-19 degrees under & 19-20 on the table. Again the temperature dropped under the table but not dramatically and lots of shadows were noted. No EMF readings were seen to change. Several presences were felt Henry the miller, James Fox (foxy who died in an explosion 60 years ago on the 27th of November), Andrew, one of which had a baby and a not so friendly spirit which seems to follow the team around Burton called Daniel who didn’t look to be on his own this time. A cat was also felt that went by the name of Whisper & a lady called Elizabeth who it was felt was attached to the landlord. There were also a few whispers heard by Karl. Paul, Karl & Sue had their right arm begin to quiver & the sensation of a man being electrocuted was felt by Eleanor. Eleanor and Sue jumped because a black dog with red eyes appeared right in front of Eleanor’s face.  One funny occurrence happened when a spirit of a football fan came forward taunting a spirit and chanting “come and have a go if you are hard enough” several times this happened and he definitely wanted to make himself known. With all the activity going on around the circle, Sue then, started to feel hands go around her throat,   her Adams apple at first then at the back of her neck. The feeling would not pass so after a few minutes the circle was closed as the feeling was making Sue a little uneasy. Temperature in the back room dropped from 19.5 degrees to 14 & then went back up to 18-19 not long after finishing. On returning, first indications of the trigger objects look to be ok though two pins in the pin art looked to have moved.

4.20 am      Automatic writing - finished 4.45

4:15 Paul went to try his hand at automatic writing in the front room. Two faces were drawn and the second one was unknown but the first face came through as the face of a spirit brought along with the team. As of yet we have not been able to find his name. This spirit is thought to be some kind of protector over; either the whole team or certain members of the team who are connected with another investigation, which is as yet, undisclosed to the general public, at the occupants of the locations request.

4.55 am

Sue set up some more trigger objects (dominos), 3 in total, this time in the front of the pub (near the door), one on the table and two in front side of pub (one on the table and one on the bar).  The result of this was none of the dominoes moved.
 

Séance 2

This took place in the same place as the first and Sue was sitting out on this one as some remote viewing was taking place. Base line EMF normal & temperature 18.5-19 degrees around the table and 18-19 degrees in the other room but 16 next to the outside door. Trigger objects were set up using dominos & the pin art. While in the séance 6 of the 12 dominos were knocked down but made no noise but with no photos taken or a camera watching them it’s impossible to say if they weren't knocked by accident. A remote viewing experiment was carried out on doing so Paul was able to describe the rooms he was taken into with about 75% accuracy. Paul found it very hard to get up the stairs during the viewing as he could only climb 3 steps. We found out later the house we where viewing had a stairs case which had been removed but there are however 3 steps remaining. The team were unaware of this at the time it was only found out after the investigation. As we entered a bedroom in the house we were viewing Paul accidentally slammed a door but it hit Mark in the face. The owners of the house called Eleanor later to tell her that on that night there was a loud bang from a door upstairs. Meanwhile, around the table, the temperature in the back room dropped down to 10 degrees & 12 degrees around the table, 7 degrees at one point behind Karl & Mark. All the sitters felt a few cold breezes at several different times and a few of them said they felt that they had been touched. Not too much activity took place during this sitting and as there were no more presences felt the circle was closed. Once again the temperature went back up to between 18-20 degrees not 10 minutes after clearing up.

Conclusion

While this did not seem to be a very active location, members of the team did pick up a few paranormal events. The Gladstone Arms turned out to be a strange experience, activity in noises, which could not be explained and numerous temperature drops. Again we went on an investigation to find answers; got a few answers and then we question our answers, leaving with yet more questions. On saying this it only goes to prove that any single location has to be investigated on numerous occasions to get a better picture from the spirit world. Who’s to say the spirits do not wish to contact us from time to time & also need their rest as we do??
