Base-line readings

EMF was normal and a constant -.2 to -.15 ion readings, which would validate the atmosphere noted by Karl as he entered the building. The room temperature was between 23 -24 degrees and 20 degrees on the floor but these were expected to drop as the building cools down. Chris and Eleanor heard a cat somewhere in the building, it was later found out that the owners do have a cat upstairs.

Vigil session 1

All ESSIVE group and 4 guests, holding hands around pool table; on the table, we had a small crystal ball, dowsing ball and compass. This session got off to a slow start but eventually everyone experienced something.

Several spirits seemed to be moving around the circle tickling the participants, and the temperature was noticeably colder when they seemed to pass the sitters. Between Tina and 1 guest, a spirit called Henry was pressing down on their hands apparently trying to break the circle and a heat haze was seen by several people where the pressure was placed. We asked for spirits to give us a sign and a knock which seemed to be on the pool table was clearly heard. We asked them to knock again if it had been them however no second knock was heard. A guest from the location felt hand around the throat and became distressed, we therefore closed the circle. Jo felt as though she was going to pass out, Karl felt slightly sick and hot. All members of the circle were either touched or tickled at some point during the vigil. The names of Alfie and Rose Baxter were picked along with one the man who was rather unpleasant called Henry. The pendulum was also seen to move by several people at one point during the session.

Dowsing session 1

While writing the questions it was witnessed that something was thrown behind the bar in front of Karl who then shortly afterwards saw a white mist pass by his right hand side out of the corner of his eye.

During the questions Karl saw two shadows move to the left of him, Paul also felt a cold spot which when the session finished which followed him up to Karl & Chris.

Glass Divination session 1

The starting temperature was between 19 and 20 degrees, EMF normal, as with a séance 5 people taking part 2 ESSIVE members Tina and Phillip and 3 from the location. The glass began to respond to questioning and the temperature dropped to 17.5 degrees the glass moved so much that the session had to be ended as the glass was in danger of falling off the edge of the table. There were no EMF changes. Temperature rose back to 19 degrees between sessions.

Glass Divination session 2

Paul replaced Tina and again the glass began to move, the spirit gave her name as Mary Bounds. There was no change in the temperature during this session.

Glass Divination session 3

This time the 5 non-ESSIVE members participated to allow them to see if the glass would move without any of the ESSIVE team participating. Again the glass moved and this time the temperature rose from 18 to 20 degrees. The spirit of a little girl came through, she was called Sammy, it turned out that ESSIVE had been in contact with her before. She had drowned in a river and appeared to be desperate to talk to us.

Séance

Séance started 3.35 am finished 4.36 am, starting temperature with the infrared thermometer was 19 degrees around the table and 20 on it, EMF readings were normal. The séance was held on the dance floor with three remote temperature sensors on the floor under the table, top 17.4, left 21.0 and right 20.7 degrees

Paul was trying his hand at some psychic art, the sitters around the séance table were Eleanor, Phillip and Tina with all 5 guests, Chris and Karl were taking infrared temperature and EMF readings and Sue was typing notes and monitoring the remote temperature sensors. We also decided to experiment with a set of Tibetan Ting-Sha Bells, which are used by Buddhists in their ceremonies.

3.36 The temperature on the left sensor was down by 1 degree when the sitters asked the spirits to communicate the séance.

3.37 A telekinetic enhancer which had been placed on the table was moving in an anti clockwise direction which changed to clockwise when Eleanor asked the spirit to move it in the other direction. Tina said she felt someone tapping on the head and Sue felt a pain in the right hand side of her head.

3.40 The left sensor now back up to 21.0 degrees, one of the guests said someone was touching his little finger. Eleanor picked up a little boy who was Alfie’s friend but did not want to talk to the group he only wanted to play.

3.48 Sue saw a shadow to her right by the pool table near the entrance.

3.49 The infrared temperature dropped 2 degrees all around the table.

3.50 Henry made his presence known, he was showing Tina her house being burnt down, he was talking to Tina and putting nasty thoughts in her head, Eleanor told Tina to ignore him.

3:57 Henry was standing behind Eleanor and trying to channel through her, there were some other male spirits thought to be friends of Henry around who would not give their know names and Tina could smell smoke, Paul was smoking at this time but he was on the other side of the room.

4.00 Chris rang the bells and Sue felt a draft pass her going towards séance table.

4:02 Tina was being poked in the eye and a spirit appeared to be moving around the table at high speed, temperature on the left sensor 20.1.

4.03 The temperature on the left sensor back to 21.1.

4.03 Tina’s chair appeared to be pulled out and one of the guests felt as if a wet finger had been pushed into her ear.

4.07 There was a strong smell of turpentine noticed by Paul whilst he was drawing.

4:08 Eleanor picked up the spirit of a girl who was raped made pregnant she caught aids, it was felt she had tried to kill herself by drinking bleach and gave her name as Vanessa she said she finally died by slitting her wrists.

4.10 Several of the sitters said they smelt turpentine and wet dogs and the sensation of someone drinking some kind of poison.

4:13 One guest felt a sharp pain in the back of his neck.

4.18 A girl with long hair and dark clothes pushing down on Tina’s shoulders.

4.22 Alfie rocking Tina’s chair, and Tina said “I feel old” Eleanor heard Alfie reply you look it!

4:25 Tina got the feeling of hand on her back and a burning feeling on her throat and felt sick the humidity dropped from 44 to 41

4.25 Henry put pictures of graves and bodies with no faces in Sue’s head.

4.30 Infrared temperature down to 18 degrees

4.32 Smell of bleach and fresh air at the same time was noticed by the sitters

4:36 Circle closed by Eleanor

On closing the temperature rose back to 20 degrees. Paul came up with 3 drawings the first was said to be Henry the second was of a group of people and the third was of a woman who appeared to be dead. Although there were plenty of results this did seem to be a quiet séance.

Glass Divination session 4

The glass moved a little then stopped altogether 2 of the people touching the glass felt sick and faint so the session was ended.

Channelling session 2

Held in the cellar, Eleanor opened the session under séance conditions and after 5 minutes people began to feel cold, shadows were being seen and people felt they were being touched. Henry made himself known, there was also the lady who committed suicide trying to channel through Eleanor, she was standing behind her and Eleanor was having quite a battle. Sue said she felt as if she was floating and when Eleanor looked across Sue appeared to be about 3 inches off the floor. Sue said she did not feel right, she was feeling sick, light headed and as if she was not of this world. Without realising it the people in the circle had as on previous investigations moved into the middle. Paul was seeing a light behind Chris so the light went on to check the door behind Chris as a thin shaft of light was found. It felt as if a spirit was pacing up and down in the centre of the circle, and Tina thought that one of the guests had no head. Tina said she was hit on the legs in the hope of being knocked to the floor, and her jaw got touched. The temp in the cellar decreased and because we were all so cold and at freezing point the circle closed down.

As it was getting light outside we decided to bring a very interesting and informative second visit to a close, we would once again like to thank the residents of the property for their hospitality.
