Preliminary Report
People present – ESSIVE members - Chris & Eleanor Thompson, Karl Ellis, Mark Hibbert, Paul Wilkinson, Vicky Greaves, Kev Isham and Jo, Laura and Elaine from the Appleby
Weather - Heavy rain with light wind
Base-line readings - Were as usual with no significant readings at all, the temperature was 22 degrees with a drop to 19.5 in the poolroom.
Trigger objects - were set up in the poolroom & pictures were taken, then cameras were set up to monitor that end of the room along with temperature & audio recording equipment to run with the cameras.
Within 15 minutes of entering the Appleby Karl had a very oppressive feeling & a headache soon followed, which was also experienced by Kev & during the course of the night several other members of the team. Some orbs were caught on camera while the base line readings were being taken. Having taken all the readings Karl kept getting dizzy spells & slight nausea.

Séance 1
Location - At the opposite end to the poolroom
Temperature 20 degrees under the table & 21 on top present, 23 degrees at one corner of the table near to Kev & Eleanor, no EMF readings to start with.
Straight away temperature drops and EMF readings were noticed, Mark & a couple of others smelt candyfloss and there was a measured temperature drop of 3 degrees under the table. Both Karl and Mark noticed a shadow at the same time, there appeared to be someone sitting on a chair when EMF was measured there was a reading of .2 in mid air above the chair. Everyone experienced cold & several presences were felt, tapping was heard from behind the bar, which was repeated on request from the circle. The presence of a cat & a not so pleasant man who was lynched by a group of 20 were noted along with a little girl called Sammy. Altogether the temperature went down by 3.5 - 4 degrees several shadows were noticed by members of the circle. Upon closing the circle Eleanor became very distressed by the images she was seeing. Again the temperature rose almost immediately as the session was ended.

Séance 2
Location - At the poolroom end on the bar by the dance floor.
EMF readings were normal and the temperature was 20 degrees on the table & the surrounding chairs 19 degrees under the table.
There were measured drops of 4 degrees in temperature & slight EMF readings during the séance. Everyone saw shadows & things moving, lots of cold spots were felt & noises heard. The names James, Simon, Sammy & Alice were mentioned, 4 people had headaches while in the circle. At one point everyone felt the temperature drop when it had actually risen by 2 degrees. Kev felt a tickling on his cheek as if a small finger had stroked him this was also felt by several other sitters on request for Sammy to confirm her presence. A dry cough was going round being passed from person to person along with the taste of blood. 3 cameras were turned off in one way or another and the night vision turned off on a fourth, a voice recorder was drained of power when the battery should have lasted much longer. Once again the temperature immediately rose on ending the séance & one of the cameras came back on.
Conclusion
On first examination none of the pool balls or any of the other trigger objects had been moved & until further examination of footage from all the cameras this cannot be determined.
Altogether the night was a success with lots of occurrences from tapping on surfaces when asked to by a member of the séance to shadows & movement witnessed by everyone present, and voices/conversations being heard by 3-4 members of the team on the night & not forgetting the ever present but as yet un-explained temperature fluctuations during the séances. This brings us yet more questions to be answered & hopefully a possible re-visit to a very active & interesting location.
